Traffic Court
It is human to commit mistakes but nowadays, forgiveness is sometimes tried in court. If ever you are alleged to commit an infraction on traffic rules and regulations and you decide to investigate it further, it is the traffic court who will decide whether you should be forgiven or not.
Common Road Infractions
There are many bad things and accidents that may happen in the road. Infractions vary in different levels. Minor infractions may include not wearing your seatbelts properly, not giving enough safety for a child-on board your car, or not moving when even you saw the green signal light. On the other hand, major infractions may include a fake or a questionable license, over speeding and defying the instructions of a traffic enforcer. Being drunk while driving can also be considered as a major infraction.
It is normal for humans to commit mistakes. With the pressure in one's relationships, work and family, sometimes one can be very preoccupied to forget the traffic rules and violations. It could also be that the said traffic tickets are given by traffic police men who want to get extra tax from drivers. All these human angles will be discussed in a traffic court. Of course, it is best to come in a traffic court with an attorney. Traffic issues can easily be discussed if you hire your lawyer who knows the law well. This person will speak for your side and present the counter evidences that will support your innocence. In a traffic court, it is expected that the police complainant will also present their own evidences like the shots taken by a speed trap camera, if ever you are accused of speeding. The shots in these cameras will then be analyzed by the jury.
The police complainant's testimonies will also be tested for its validity. With many cross-examinations, it is expected that the truth will surface after the investigation.
Sanctions for road infractions vary. Some may give the driver a not-guilty verdict but for the unfortunate ones, the traffic court may give fines in varying amounts payable within fifteen days of notice. Some may be too unlucky to receive a suspension from driving in that state but are still allowed to drive in some other states. There are also suspensions which disallows a driver from handling any vehicle in the future.
Being a responsible driver at all times and at all costs is still the best rule in when handling vehicles. The traffic court and your lawyer may not be there for you at all times and whatever traffic violations that you have committed will surely affect your future and reputation.
